Schedule:
10am: Introduction and Centering the Breath How important is the breath in prayer? How important is breath in music? What about the position of the body?
10:30am: Embracing Compassion How do we connect to our hearts in meditation? How do we accept ourselves as we are?
11am: Offering Intercession How can we be spontaneous in prayer? How do musicians improvise?
11:30am: Receptive Silence What does it mean to be receptive? How is it different from being passive? What is the difference between quiet and silence?
12pm: Silent Lunch Enjoy lunch in a silent fellowship with others.
12:30pm: Sharing and Preparation for Eucharist Time for sharing insights based on these practices. What will you take with you to your prayer practice? What will you try?
1pm: Jazz Eucharist We will close with a celebration of the Eucharist featuring a live jazz quintet.
