Contemplation and Justice Speaker Series
First Tuesday of the Month beginning October 5
Inspired by the influential teaching of Archbishop Desmond Tutu, who said “Just as we are all meant to be contemplatives and to hear the voice of God in our lives, we are all meant to answer God's call to be God’s partners in transfiguring the world,” each month we will engage in a conversation with some of the leading voices of contemplative spirituality. These dialogues will deeply inform the ways in which we apply our practice of contemplative prayer to respond to the social and ecological challenges facing our world.
These conversations will take place online via Zoom.
Our first speaker on October 5 will be the Rev. Pamela Conrad, who will speak about the spirituality of exploration. Mother Pamela is an Episcopal priest and an engineer on the Mars Rover.
